Fifth Annual General Meeting [ Back ]
Kathmandu, January 12, 2012: Clean Energy Development Bank completed its 5th Annual General Meeting today amongst much participation from its stakeholders. Speaking today at the event, company chairman, Dhananjaya Acharya, traced the continuous growth of the Bank and said, “CEDB has made continuous progress even in the face of a major financial crunch and has registered a net profit of NPR. 111.234 million, which in comparison to the last financial years- is an increase of almost 149.22% - all this being in addition to our distinct focus of the clean energy future for our country”. The board then went on to pass the distribution of 5.60% cash dividends to CEDB shareholders along with the merger of CEDB and NMB Bank in commemoration of the event.
CEDB is the biggest national level development bank in terms of paid-up capital of NPR. 1.08 Billion. The Bank’s deposit for F/Y 2067-68 stood at NPR 4.42 Billion and loans at NPR. 4.07 Billion, reflecting a growth of 7.59% and 22.93% respectively, in comparison to the last financial year. The Bank currently operates 8 branches nationally with its headquarters located at Sitapaila, Kathmandu and expects to expand further in its commitment to provide excellence in the banking business.
